The Vent Garden is designed for people who aren’t in crisis but carry a lot, in their work, relationships, or responsibilities. Many clients are professionals, parents, or carers who are used to supporting others but rarely have space for themselves. If you want to talk things through without judgement or labels, and in complete confidence, this space was created for you.

Every session is your time and space to talk freely. You lead the conversation; there’s no script, no set agenda, and no need to prepare. Just begin talking and let the conversation flow. Your listener is fully present - offering understanding, not advice - so you can speak openly and at your own pace. Some people use the time to untangle their thoughts; others simply talk and notice how much lighter they feel by the end. Your session is your time to say what’s on your mind. To air your thoughts and feelings, good or bad. To vent about your day, your week, or whatever's been sitting heavy on your mind. Every session lasts a minimum of 30 minutes and is held via video call, giving you the freedom to talk from wherever you feel most comfortable. Here, you set the pace. You lead the conversation. You’re simply given the time and space to be heard.

No. While many of our clients are professionals who spend their days supporting others, The Vent Garden is open to anyone who needs space to pause and be heard.
It’s designed for busy adults, often aged between 40 and 59, who are juggling the demands of work, family, and everyday life. The people who carry a lot - emotionally, mentally, and sometimes quietly - but don’t want therapy. This is not a crisis service or a replacement for counselling. It’s a modern sanctuary for conversation, offering understanding, empathy, and a listening ear when you need it most.

Each session lasts 30 minutes. If you feel you need more time to talk things through, you can book two sessions back-to-back for a full 60-minute conversation. You will be surprised how much you have to say, how quickly the time flies and how much lighter you feel at the end.

At the moment, sessions are available online to adults based in the UK. We hope to expand in the future, but for now, all sessions are offered within the UK only.
